Step 01
Site & feasibility review
We inspect the existing home, block, orientation, services and access. Feasibility answers the honest question: is a knockdown rebuild the right pathway, or is a renovation a better fit for this project?

Knockdown Rebuild
Western Sydney craftsmanship
Stay on the block you love, start fresh with a new home. Kingstyle Homes coordinates every step — feasibility, design, demolition, approvals, construction and handover.
Why knockdown rebuild
For established Sydney blocks — Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, The Ponds, Stanhope Gardens, Blacktown, Penrith — knockdown rebuild is often the right answer when a renovation would require touching structure, kitchens, bathrooms and layout. You keep the location, the land value and the school catchment; you replace an outdated or worn dwelling with a purpose-built new home.
Kingstyle Homes handles the whole knockdown rebuild pathway under one team: the feasibility assessment, the design, demolition, approvals, construction and final handover. No juggling separate demolition contractors, designers, certifiers and builders — one accountable point for the entire project.
Our KDR process
Step 01
We inspect the existing home, block, orientation, services and access. Feasibility answers the honest question: is a knockdown rebuild the right pathway, or is a renovation a better fit for this project?
Step 02
New home design shaped around the block, the family, the setback envelope and the inclusion package. Selections happen alongside design so surprises don't appear during construction.
Step 03
CDC or DA pathway depending on site conditions and design. Engineering, hydraulics, energy assessment and demolition permit all coordinated through Kingstyle.
Step 04
Existing dwelling demolished, disconnected services capped, hazardous materials (asbestos) handled by licensed contractors, site prepped for slab.
Step 05
New home constructed with fixed contract price, progressive payments and clear communication throughout. Final handover once all trades are complete and defects are cleared.

Frequently asked
A knockdown rebuild (KDR) is where you demolish an existing home and build a new one on the same block — keeping the location, land value and street address, but starting fresh with a modern design that suits how you live today.
It depends on the extent of the renovation. Minor cosmetic renovations are almost always cheaper. But major renovations that touch structure, layout, kitchens and bathrooms often cost 70–90% of what a knockdown rebuild costs — and you end up with a compromised outcome rather than a purpose-built new home. For major work, knockdown rebuild is frequently better value.
Design and approvals: 3–6 months. Demolition: 2–3 weeks. Construction: 10–14 months for a typical single-family home. Total from initial briefing to handover: 15–20 months.
No — you'll need alternative accommodation from the point of demolition until handover, typically 12–14 months. Rental or family accommodation is usually the answer. Budget for the alternative accommodation as part of your total project cost.
Yes, primarily across Western Sydney — Kellyville, Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Bella Vista, Norwest, Rouse Hill, Blacktown, Penrith and Liverpool LGAs. Contact us with your block address to check.
